Custom Accounting Package
Problem Definition
           One of our customers in Florida had a DOS (C Prompt) based accounting package that there employees were very fond of and comfortable using.  The problem was none of the current accounting packages on the market today supported the DOS binary file type so they could not upgrade their accounting records without re-entering all of the data. Obviously this was not an option for them since they have been using the DOS based system for several years.  

Solution
           Software Momentum was called in to re-design and re-develop the DOS based accounting system to Windows. Furthermore, a file translator/importer  was developed to take existing DOS data and import it to Sybase as the backend database. The final product was delivered two weeks faster than expected.

Remote Help Desk
Problem Definition
           One of our customers in New Zealand, required an enterprise remote system to better service their customers around the world.  Their current system, allowed users to login to the members section of their website and leave an email detailing the problem where a technician would later contact them and guide them through their situation. They wanted a more efficient way of speeding technical support with faster diagnoses so they can work withmore customers in less time.

 

Solution
           Software Momentum was asked to analyze the clients desired business model and objectives and if such a project was obtainable based on their budget constraints. We spent several weeks researching the best solution and technologies to utilize. In the end, we delivered a custom software solution where technicians could support their end-users as if every support incident was happening on their screen regardless of geographic location with Instant   Messaging and file transfer capabilities. We delivered on time and on budget.

Microsoft Office Interface
Problem Definition
          One of our customers in upstate New York, wanted to interface Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Access together. The goal was to automate the process when a new email contact was entered in Outlook, the new contact would automatically be updated in Access.

 

Solution
          Software Momentum was hired to do the project and required the job to be done in one month or less. We designed and developed the Microsoft Access database and used Free  third party components to finish the project in a timely manner as well as save the customer hundreds of dollars in development cost.

Medicare Fee Schedule Analysis
Problem Definition
          A Doctor working with a physician's organization in California needed to develop a system to analyze medical insurance contracts offered to them.  Furthermore, the software technology had to use yearly Medicare values and suggest the optimum fee schedule contract they should accept from Insurance agencies.

 

Solution
          The doctor having worked with us in the past, hired Software Momentum again. Part of our Solution we devised was a system that allowed them to import yearly Medicare values from  either Excel or MS Access and perform CPT fee schedule analysis in a timely manner without having to rely on us year after year to upgrade the software system
